Basking Ridge High School Ceramics and Photography Presents:
Surface Tension

The roughness of tree bark, the smoothness of a pebble, or the miniscule spines on a cat’s tongue are recontextualized to make the difficult-to-see, or sometimes overlooked, more tangible. In Surface Tension, Ridge High School’s Ceramic and Photography students investigate nature’s vast textures via observation, meticulous study, and a focused craft. Through their lenses and with their hands, the artists create intimate connections with the environment – exploring the detailed and complex surfaces of the natural world. A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
