Educational Public Programs for august 2018

Let's Move The Environmental Education Center has partnered with the national Let's Move! initiative to fight childhood obesity by encouraging participation in outdoor activities and promoting healthy eating. Those programs are listed with the Let's Move! logo by the program titles.

Xtreme Adventure: Rock Climb
(Ages 13-16)
Hit the road early and head up to the famous Shawangunks, also known as "The Gunks", in the Catskill Mountain Range. Meet with a licensed climbing guide and hike a short distance to the rocks! Instruction on climbing, belaying, and repelling will be included.

Swallowtail Fields - New program
(Adult)
Wild Bergamot is in bloom and the swallowtail butterflies are out! Join a Naturalist as we visit several locations in North Jersey looking for a variety of summer butterflies, including the elusive Giant Swallowtail. Make sure to bring plenty of water, sun protection, and a lunch.

Hours & Directions
The building is open 9am-5pm daily.
Exhibits are open 9am-4:30pm daily.
Registration is accepted 9am-4:30pm daily.
The building is closed on Holidays.
Trails are open dawn to dusk daily but closed on Deer Management days as scheduled.
